first_imgRelatedHEART Trust Stages Exposition in Port Antonio HEART Trust Stages Exposition in Port Antonio UncategorizedMarch 17, 2006 RelatedHEART Trust Stages Exposition in Port Antonio FacebookTwitterWhatsAppEmail The HEART Trust/NTA staged an exposition in Port Antonio on Wednesday (March 15), aimed at sensitising residents about its various training and certification programmes.The event, held at the Ken Wright Pier, was sponsored by the HEART Trust /NTA’s northern region and attracted hundreds of residents in addition to stakeholders from government and non-governmental organizations.Among the matters discussed were the challenges to be presented by the establishment of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) and the need for Jamaica to have a competent work force to compete with its Caribbean partners and to ensure economic viability globally.George Coleman, Regional Manager for the HEART Trust/NTA’s northern region, said that his organization was seeking to partner with business organizations in Eastern Portland to promote its services and to expose more persons to the training opportunities offered by HEART/NTA.Noting that businesses were interested in employing workers, who could bring value to their business enterprises, Mr. Coleman said that if the country failed to produce quality and discipline workers, “it would suffer the consequences of marginalization and social and economic deprivation, in a world that is becoming increasingly more complex because of its focus on excellence”.He invited young people in particular, to make use of the skills training offered by HEART and those who possessed skills, to register with the organization to become certified.center_img RelatedHEART Trust Stages Exposition in Port Antonio Advertisementslast_img read more
